Minecraft Server Status Checker

Enter a Java or Bedrock Minecraft server address (domain or IP, optionally with :PORT) to check its live status.

What this tool does

FluxRadar's Minecraft Server Status Checker connects directly to a Java or Bedrock Minecraft server and reports its live status: whether it's online, its MOTD, version, protocol number, current and maximum players, a sample of connected players when available, real latency measured from our server, and the server's icon.

Use cases

  • Check if your own Minecraft server is online before inviting friends
  • Verify the MOTD and icon players will see in their server list
  • Monitor a server's player count and latency
  • Confirm whether an address belongs to a Java or Bedrock server

How it works

FluxRadar opens a direct connection to the server address you provide. For Java Edition, it performs the Server List Ping handshake to retrieve the status JSON and measures round-trip latency. If that fails, FluxRadar automatically attempts a Bedrock (RakNet) unconnected ping. Whichever succeeds determines the edition shown, and the parsed result is displayed instantly.

Examples

Example inputs: mc.hypixel.net, play.example.com:25565, 192.168.1.10:25565, or a Bedrock address like 192.168.1.10:19132.

Frequently asked questions

  • Does this work for Bedrock servers? Yes. If the Java Edition query doesn't get a response, FluxRadar automatically tries a Bedrock (RakNet) ping on the same or default Bedrock port.
  • Why does it show my server as offline? This usually means the server is stopped, the port is closed or blocked by a firewall, or the address or port you entered is incorrect.
  • What is the MOTD? MOTD stands for Message of the Day, the text shown in a player's server list under the server name.
  • Is the player sample always available? No. Many servers hide the player sample list, or only show it when players are online and the server allows it.
  • Is the latency accurate? The latency shown is measured live, from FluxRadar's server to the Minecraft server, using the same ping mechanism Minecraft clients use.
